1119. John Gerard MARTIN was born on 22 Feb 1928 in Inglewood, Victoria, Australia. He died in 1961 in Adelaide, South Australia. He was also known as Mick. John died in Adelaide in 1961, aged 33, as a result of radiation from atomic testing in the Weapons Research Establishment in Woomera. He had previously spent 6 years with the Meteorology Bureau in Tasmania and at the Forrest Weather Station in Western Australia.

He was married to Elinor Mary HOWARD on 19 Jun 1954 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Elinor Mary HOWARD was born in 1931. She died on 28 Dec 1995 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. John Gerard MARTIN and Elinor Mary HOWARD had the following children:
