TENTH GENERATION

1029. John Parmenter ROBARTS was born on 11 Jan 1917 in Banff, Alberta, Canada. He died on 18 Oct 1982 in Ontario, Canada. He had a stroke and later comitted suicide from depression. He was a Naval Lieutenant. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, John joined the Navy and served on the H.M.C.S. Uganda. In 1950, as an Alderman, he was elected to the London City Council and he went on to represent London North in provincvial politics. In 1961 he became the Premier of Ontario, this position lasted until he handed it over in 1971.

He was married to Norah Eva Mason MCCORMICK (daughter of C. Garfield MCCORMICK) on 6 Jul 1944 in London, Ontario, Canada. John Parmenter ROBARTS and Norah Eva Mason MCCORMICK had the following children:

He was married to Katherine KWASNIEWISKIS on 22 Aug 1976 in Rome, New York, USA.
