SEVENTH GENERATION415. Jane Ann BLYTH was
baptized on 9 Jun 1821 in St Osyth, Essex. She inherited half of the residue
of her fathers estate on 3 Feb 1848. Her father instructed that his trustees
should invest any remaining money from his estate, half of it for his daughter,
Jane. She would receive the yearly interest payments for her own use. When she
died, the interest would be used for the upbringing of her children and they
would receive the principal sum when they each reached the ages of 21. She
died in 1905. She was born in St Osyth, Essex. 1851 Census: Jane, 29, is living
at Braziers Farm, St Osyth with her husband, 5 children and sister in law.
She was married to
Frederick Edmund BLYTH (son of Daniel Oathwaite BLYTH and
Charlotte HARPER) on 6 Jun 1843 in St Osyth, Essex. Witnesses to marriage
were William Wilson Blyth, Sarah Maria Lingley and Ellen Sophia Blyth.
Frederick Edmund BLYTH was born on 20 Apr 1818 in Colchester, Essex.
He was baptized on 10 Oct 1819 in St Leonards, Colchester, Essex. He died on
23 Oct 1867 in Greenwich, London. From the paper Frederick died "at his
residence 23 Ashburnham Grove, Greenwich. Frederick Edmund son od the late Daniel
Othwaite Blyth Esq of Colchester, in his 50th year, much regretted by all who
knew him." He was a Farmer. 1843: Marriage certificate states Frederick
as a merchant from Colchester.
