EIGHTH GENERATION
641. Wilson BLYTH was
baptized on 15 Mar 1859 in St Osyth, Essex. He was made Executor to the will
of his father, William Wilson Blyth, on 25 Sep 1884 in Ipswich, Suffolk. He
inherited serveral items from his mother on 27 Apr 1906. The items Wilson were
to receive were: a silver salver; a fish knife and fork in a case; four silver
gravy ladles; a silver mug marked W W B; six large dinner table spoons; six dessert
spoons; one dozen silver tea spoons; asparagus tongs; six electro small dinner
forks; one plated meat skewer; her large long gold watch chain; her plain large
gold brooch in a case; a ring with small blue stones and one large pearl in centre;
one gold bracelet; one cravat pin. Any other items of jewellery, silver and plate
not already listed were to be split equally between her 3 sons.
Wilson was left his mothers cottage and garden in Copford, Essex and the furniture
which was at Park Farm in St Osyth.. He was also to keep the family portraits
and when he died they were to be passed to his brother Henry and then Charles
so they remained in the family. Her savings were to be split equally between
the 3 sons. He signed a Will on 17 Nov 1934. He died on 10 Feb 1941 in St Osyth,
Essex. He was buried on 15 Feb 1941 in St Osyth, Essex. His Will was proved
on 30 May 1941 in Ipswich, Suffolk. He was a Farmer in St Osyth, Essex. 1898
/ 1899 / 1902 / 1906 / 1908 Kellys Directories: Wilson was listed as farm bailiff
to Thomas Lilley Esq., Park Farm, St Osyth.
1901 Census: Wilson is shown as a farmer and machine proprietor.
1912 Kellys lists Wilson as owner of Park Farm.
1928: the Clacton-on-Sea Directory lists Wilson as being at Wellwick Farm. 1861
Census: Wilson, 2, is at Park Farm, St Osyth with his family.
1901 Census: Wilson, 41, is living at Park Farm, St Osyth with his wife, 6 children,
a governess and a servant.
He was married to Kate Elizabeth SMOOTHY (daughter of
James SMOOTHY and Elizabeth UNKNOWN) on 6 Oct 1894 in Christ
Church, West Green, Middlesex. Marriage certificate shows Wilson and Kate to
be living at 141 Effingham Road, Hornsey, Middx. The witnesses were James and
Jane Wells. Wilson's occupation on the certificate is stated as Engineer.
Kate Elizabeth SMOOTHY was baptized on 23 Aug 1868 in St Osyth,
Essex. She inherited furs and other clothes from her mother in law on 27 Apr
1906. She was made Executor to the will of Wilson Blyth, her husband, on 17
Nov 1934. She inherited £200 from her husband on 30 May 1941. Kate also
was to receive the residue of her husbands estate once the legacies had been
settled. Once Kate died the residue of her husbands personal and real estate
was to be sold and the profits were to be divided between the surviving children
and the offspring of any child that may have died. She signed a Will on 17 Apr
1943. In her will Kate left a rosewood card table each to her daughters May
and Elsie. They were also to divide all her jewellery and 'wearing apparel' equally
between them. Her son Charles was left bonds and savings certificates. The rest
of Kates 'saleable items' were to be sold and the money, together with the money
in the bank, was to be split equally between her 7 living children and the widow
of her son Edward. She died on 8 Sep 1946 in Wivenhoe, Essex. She was buried
on 14 Sep 1946 in St Osyth, Essex. Gravestone: In Loving Memory of Wilson Blyth
who departed this life Feb. 10th 1941 Also his beloved wife Kate Blyth who departed
this life September 8th 1946 Aged 78 years Re-united. Her Will was proved on
5 Nov 1946 in Ipswich, Suffolk. She was a Wife and Councillor. She was born
in St Osyth, Essex. Family owned the Ship Inn, Bar Corner, St. Osyth, now a
cafe. Kate was the youngest of several children.

1901 Census: Kate, 32, was living with her husband and 6 children at Park Farm,
St Osyth.
She was a Councillor from 1928 to 1932 in St. Osyth. Wilson BLYTH and Kate

Margaret Elizabeth BLYTH was born on 6 Jan 1901 in St Osyth, Essex. She
was baptized on 29 Sep 1902 in St Osyth, Essex. She died on 28 Sep 1918 in St
Osyth, Essex. She was buried on 3 Oct 1918 in St Osyth, Essex. Gravestone:
In Loving Memory of Margaret E. Blyth passed away Sept. 28th 1918 aged 17 years.
1901 Census: Margaret, 7 months, was living with her parents at Park Farm, St
Osyth.

Charles Alexander BLYTH was born on 22 Jun 1902. He was baptized on 29
Sep 1902 in St Osyth, Essex. He inherited two threshing machines from his father
on 30 May 1941. These machines were valued at £500 each. Charles was also
to share the remaining farming machines and tool with his brother Albert. He
was made Executor to the will of Kate Blyth, his mother, on 17 Apr 1943. He
inherited furniture and saving certificates from his mother on 5 Nov 1946. Charles
also received an eighth share of the residue of his mothers estate. He was buried
on 26 Sep 1984 in St Osyth, Essex. Twin of Albert Victor (Tubby). 1928: Charles
is listed in the Clacton-on-Sea Directory as being involved with both Wellwick
and Heath Farms in St. Osyth.

Memory of the twin children of W & K Blyth Born 26th Jany 1904 Ida Marion
died 28th April aged 13 weeks Donald Mark died 11th May aged 15 weeks. Twin
