Charles Arthur BLYTH was born between 1 Oct 1861 and 31 Dec 1861 in St Osyth, Essex. He was baptized on 4 Mar 1862 in St Osyth, Essex. He was made Executor to the will of Mary Elizabeth Blyth, his mother, on 7 Dec 1900. He inherited several items from his mother on 27 Apr 1906. The items left to Charles, by his mother, were: a silver tea and coffee service; electro claret jug; one plated bedroom candlestick; four silver gravy ladles; a soup ladle; six large dinner table spoons; six dessert spoons; one dozen silver tea spoons; a brooch set with Brilliants and a pair of earrings to match; a gentlemans cravat pin set with brillients; one gold bracelet; one ring; one gold Geneva watch. Any other items of jewellery, silver and plate not already listed were to be split equally between her 3 sons.
Henry and Charles were to divide between them all the remainder of their mothers belongings. Her savings were to be split equally between the 3 sons.
In a codicil to her will, dated 7th Dec 1900, Charles mother revoked all bequests to her son and left them to Charles wife, Blanche. He died in 1936. He was a Miller. 1881 Census: Charles is shown as an Engineers Pupil.
Charles ran a corn merchant and bakery business at 87 Queen's Rd, Peckham, London with older brother Henry Percy. They bought flour from the Witham Mills run by their brothers William and Edward.
1901 Census: Charles was a Corn and Flour Dealer. He was an employer and worked from home. 1881 Census: Charles, 19, single, was boarding in Museum Street, Ipswich (St Mary At Elms).
