He also played Dr Gillespie in the Doctor Kildare series and frequently played the role of Winston Churchill in films.

He was married to Doris RANKIN (daughter of McKee RANKIN and Kitty BLANCHARD) in Jun 1904 in St Xaviers, New York, USA. Doris RANKIN was born about 1888. She died in 1946.
