FIFTH GENERATION

70. Mary BLYTH inherited land and property in Dedham from her father, Samuel Blyth, on 14 May 1785. Mary was left 2 fields, near Dedham, called West Fields, approximately 10 acres. She was also left 54 acres of land and premises her father had bought from Edmund Hayward. Mary was to pay her mother £10 per year out of the profits of the land. At the time of her death these pieces of land were to pass to her nephew, George Blomfield.
Mary was also left all her fathers corn, grain and crops from all his land at the time of his death together with all his milking cows. She died before 5 Apr 1802.

She obtained a marriage license on 5 Dec 1786. William Freema, Farmer of Dedham, paid a £100 bond. William was of full age, Mary, of Dedham, was a minor. Both were single. The marriage was to take place in Dedham Church. She was married to William FREEMAN on 21 Dec 1786 in Dedham, Essex. Both signed their names. The witnesses were Saml Hudson and Saml Ratcliff. William FREEMAN was a Farmer in 1786 in Dedham, Essex. Mary BLYTH and William FREEMAN had the following children:

child130 iv. Robert FREEMAN was born about 1798. He was baptized on 19 Jun 1798 in Dedham, Essex. He inherited £25 from his grandmother, Martha Blyth, when he reached 21 years on 18 Sep 1802.
