1846: He moved to Amritsar to work on a new survey of the Trans Sutlej Territory.
1849: Georges marriage document shows him to be still working for the Trans Sutlej Survey department.
Oct 1852: George was working in the Revenue Survey Department in Lahore. Oct 1852: George and his family were living in Lahore.

He was married to Amelia Dorothy Martin CHAMBERLAIN (daughter of Henry de Tankerville CHAMBERLAIN) on 17 Feb 1849 in Hosheyarpore (Hoshiarpur), Bengal, India. George was of full age, Amelia was 18 when they married. Witnesses to the marriage were WE Blyth, C Hargrave, a Lt in the 26th Regiment. Amelia Dorothy Martin CHAMBERLAIN was born in 1831 in Jullundur, Bengal, India. She died in Amritsar, Bengal, India. Amelia was the sister of Charlotte, William Edwards wife. George Henry BLYTH and Amelia Dorothy Martin CHAMBERLAIN had the following children:
