Parish Records show 'Daniel Blyth natural child of ______'. No mothers name was
given. He was made Executor to the will of his father, Daniel Blyth, on 9 Feb
1805. He inherited land and property from his father on 9 Mar 1813. Daniels
father left his mother, Ann, the use of his 2 properties with all their outbuildings
and land in Broomfield which were occupied by William Gage and Widow Bryan. She
also was left 2 other properties and land in Broomfield occupied by Thomas Mapis
and Edward Lee. Upon her death these properties were to pass to her husbands
illegitimate son, Daniel, and his son in law, William Boosey. Ann died before
her husband so it can be assumed these legacies passed straight to Daniel and
William. He was a Butcher in Oct 1837 in Writtle, Essex. He signed a Will on
26 Oct 1837. When Daniel wrote his will he was living in Writtle. He died on
19 Mar 1838 in Writtle, Essex. Daniel died aged 65 years. He was buried on
29 Mar 1838 in Broomfield, Essex. His Will was proved on 14 Jun 1838. 29 Apr
1803: Daniel and Mrs Blyth were admitted to the congregation of Baddow Road Congregational
Church, Chelmsford.
He was married to Mary OATES on 19 Oct
1802 in Writtle, Essex. Mary OATES was born in 1775
in Great Burstead, Essex. She was made Executor to the will of her husband,
Daniel, on 26 Oct 1837. She inherited her husbands entire estate on 14 Jun 1838.
She died on 21 Nov 1851. Mary, 77, was living in Chelmsford when she died.
She was buried on 29 Nov 1851 in Broomfield, Essex. Daniel BLYTH and Mary OATES
