EIGHTH GENERATION

606. William Henry BLYTH was born on 22 Oct 1843 in India. He was baptized on 14 Oct 1845 in Dinapore, India. He emigrated on 27 Aug 1862 to Auckland, New Zealand. William Henry and his father arrived in Auckland onboard the ship 'African'. He inherited some of his fathers property in New Zealand on 4 Nov 1873. His father purchased an estate in the County of Mougouni, Auckland which he named Blythsdale. This was left to William for his sole use. William was also to receive half of another estate, ____ Hill in Mougouni, shared with his brother, Herbert. He died in New Zealand.
c 1854: William was sent back to England to go to Blackheath Proprietary School, London.

He was married to Margarita Jane PUCKEY (daughter of Richard Gilbert PUCKEY and Matilda DAVIS) in 1866 in New Zealand. Margarita Jane PUCKEY was born in 1844. She was baptized on 20 Oct 1844 in Kaitaia, Auckland, New Zealand. She died in 1930 in New Zealand. William Henry BLYTH and Margarita Jane PUCKEY had the following children:

817 ii. Alfred William Valentine BLYTH was born in 1870. He died in 1941. Did not marry.
818 iii. Mary Sarah Louise BLYTH was born in 1874. She died in 1959.
819 iv. Margarita Alice Caroline BLYTH was born in 1878. She died in 1952. She was also known as Carrie.

821 vi. Annie Elizabeth Maude BLYTH was born in 1884. She died in 1960. She was also known as Nancy.
822 vii. Minnie Henrietta BLYTH was born in 1887. She died in 1971.
