167. Thomas BLYTH was born about 1811. He was baptized on 22 Oct 1811 in Great Wigborough, Essex. 1811: Thomas was baptised privately on 22nd October and publicly on the 20th December. He inherited £100, when he reached 21, from his uncle, William Blyth, on 17 Aug 1820. He inherited a cottage from his father on 20 Oct 1843. The cottage and gardens in Whitehouse Hill, Tolleshunt Knights was left to Thomas's mother for her use whilst she lived. At her death Thomas was to receive it. Thomas and his brother, Henry, also received an equal share of a freehold farm, approx 111 acres, called 'Hawls' or 'Paupers' in the parishes of Salcot Virley, Great Wigborough and Layer Marney. This was occupied by Thomas's brother, Samuel, when their father wrote his will. His father also left him the use of a freehold messuage in Salcot, a former public house called the Greyhound, which had been converted into several tenements. Thomas also was to receive £300. Thomas also received an equal share of the residue of his fathers estate. He died before 17 Dec 1843 in Springfield, Essex. He was buried on 17 Dec 1843 in Broomfield, Essex. Thomas died aged 33 years.

He obtained a marriage license on 17 Jul 1843. Thomas, 32, single, was from Chiswell Skeeting, Parish of St Lukes, Middlesex and Catherine, 24, single, was from Springfield. The marriage was to take place in Springfield. He was married to Catherine BLYTH (daughter of Isaac BLYTH and Catherine PARTRIDGE) on 18 Jul 1843 in Springfield, Essex. Catherine BLYTH was baptized on 4 Jun 1815. She was made Executor to the will of her father, Isaac Blyth, on 23 Mar 1844. She inherited half of her fathers estate on 17 Oct 1853. Catherine shared her fathers estate with her sister Mary. Thomas BLYTH and Catherine BLYTH had the following children:
