Over the years every family accumulates papers, documents and photographs that get forgotten about. Here are some of the more interesting ones that have seen the light of day again. If you have found anything that you feel deserves another showing, let me know and I'll put it on this page. Not too many embarrassing baby photo's please!!

Margarita Alice Caroline Blyth (1878-1952) was born in New Zealand, her family having come from India. Here are her memoirs. John's father, Edward Leslie Blyth (1910-1988) also wrote his reminiscences of life in New Zealand.
Thanks to John Blyth from Western Australia for letting me use these articles.
Eliza Blyth was born in 1820. In 1848 she left England for Tasmania. An accomplished artist, she exhibited locally and on mainland Australia. This page has few examples of her unfinished works.
The Blyth families owned and farmed a substantial amount of land over the generations. Here is just a little of what we know so far. Also, there has been a lot of information gathered from family wills and auction catalogues.
There are several other people who are researching the Blyth family, these include: Roslyn Teirney, see her web site 'The Blyths and Beyond - Family History of the Tasmanian Blyths'; Sandra Duck has written a book 'The Blyth Spirit' and Robin Blyth who kindly contributed her research on the descendants of Charles and Sarah Blyth (nee Butcher) to this site.

Many people have contacted us over the years and provided information on their particular line of the Blyth family. Thank you all for your help, it is greatly appreciated! We do realise that this family record is by no means complete. Should you feel able to contribute to, or maybe correct, anything you see here please do get in touch.
