Belsted Hall Farm covers a large area NE of Chelmsford. It is in the parishs of Broomfield and Springfield.

23 December 1790
William Blyth of Belsted Hall, Yeoman, and Daniel Blyth of Broomfield, Yeoman, bought the lease of Belsted Hall Farm from William Walford for £5,350. They paid a deposit of £1,000.

22 April 1808
In his Will William Blyth devised to his son, John Blyth, a number of pieces of land:

Long Mead - 5 acres, 1 rood, 20 poles; Plate Field - 13a, 0r, 21p;
Barn Field & Barn - 13a, 0r, 32p; Honey Land Field - 13a, 0r, 11p;
Mill Wood Field - 20a, 1r, 36p; Middleditch Field - 4a, 3r, 14p;
Wood Land - 2a, 0r, 27p.
This land was charged with an annuity of £10 yearly to be paid to his mother, Mary. He also had to pay £200 each to his brothers Samuel Blyth of Great Wigborough, Farmer, Isaac Blyth of Great Waltham, Steward and Thomas Blyth of Tollesbury, Farmer.
The Will was proved on 12 October 1810 in Chelmsford.

July 1811
John sold some of his land for £1000 to Thomas Partridge of Great Yeldham.
