31. William BLYTH was
born between 1729 and 1749. He inherited land from his father on 12 May 1764.
The land was left to his mother, to be passed on to William when she died. William
was to pay his younger brother, Thomas, £80 six months after their mothers
death. William was to receive £20 when he reached 21. He inherited £50
from his Uncle, Isaac Blyth, on 23 Jun 1768. He inherited £20 from his
mother on 24 Jul 1779. He signed a Will on 22 Apr 1808. When William wrote
his will he was living at Belsted Hall, Broomfield. He died on 19 Jul 1810.
William died aged 71. He was buried on 24 Jul 1810 in Broomfield, Essex. His
Will was proved on 12 Oct 1810. He was married to Mary UNKNOWN after May 1764.
Mary UNKNOWN was born about 1753. She inherited £10 per year
from her husband, William Blyth, on 12 Oct 1810. The yearly annuity of £10
was to be paid out of the proceeds of the land left to her son John. Mary was
to receive a second yearly annuity of £30 to be paid to her by her son William
out of the proceeds of Belsted Hall Farm.
A legacy of £100 was to be paid within 3 months of her husbands death. Mary
was also to receive all the furniture in the Parlour and the bed and bedding
from the best bedroom. She signed a Will on 13 Apr 1820. When Mary wrote her
will she was living at Belsted Hall, Broomfield. She added two Codicils to her
will dated, 1st April 1821 and 4th May 1823. She left all her Gold to be divided
equally between her grandchildren living at the time of her death. Mary bequeathed
all her linen and clothes to her two sisters, Elizabeth Cotton and Lucy Arthy.
She died on 13 May 1823 in Broomfield, Essex. Mary died aged 70. She was buried
on 19 May 1823 in Broomfield, Essex. Her Will was proved on 23 Dec 1823. Possibly
Mary Bridge who married William Blyth in 1769. William BLYTH and Mary UNKNOWN
had the following children:

William BLYTH was born about 1769. He was made Executor to the will of his
father, William Blyth, on 22 Apr 1808. He inherited Belsted Hall from his father,
William Blyth, on 12 Oct 1810. William was left the remainder of the property
and land that made up Belsted Hall Farm in Springfield and Broomfield. There
was approximately 131 acres of land. From the income of the farm William was
instructed to pay off £1600 of a £2400 mortgage owing at the time of
his fathers death. His brother John was to pay the balance.
Williams father instructed his executors to have a valuation made of all the
farming stock, cattle, crops and equipment together with all remaining household
effects which hadn't been allocated at the time of his death. These items were
then offered to William and his brother, John. If neither of them wanted to pay
for them the items were to go to auction. The money arising from the sale was
to become part of their fathers personal estate.
William received one fifth of the residue and remainder of his fathers estate
after all debts and legacies had been paid. He signed a Will on 6 Jun 1819.
When William wrote his will he was living at Belsted Hall, Springfield. He
died before 23 Oct 1819 in Broomfield, Essex. He was buried on 23 Oct 1819 in
Broomfield, Essex. William died aged 50 years. His Will was proved on 17 Aug
1820. He was a Farmer in Belsted Hall, Springfield, Essex. Jun 1819: William
was farming Belsted Hall, Springfield.
